Executive Coordinator of Facilities (Director)

Description

Responsibilities: 



  • Responsible for and oversee all operational aspects of the Mid-Atlantic Kitchen, Distribution Warehouse, and Seafood Facility including direct supervision of Facility Team Leaders.

  • Assisting in the selection, training, and development of Facility Team Leaders and Associate Facility Team Leaders. 

  • Partner with the Facility Leadership and Team Leaders to achieve the highest level of operational execution on every team in each facility to best meet the needs of the stores.

  • Provide and maintain the highest level of customer service.

  • Partner with the Store Team Leaders and Coordinators to define and achieve the highest level of service. 

  • Mentor Facility Team Leaders and Associate Facility Team Leaders in cooperation with the Regional President, Regional Vice Presidents. 

  • Create and maintain a strong focus on balancing the financial implications at our facilities while satisfying our stores.

  • Have a significant presence in the facilities while developing Team Members.

  • Responsible for maintaining awareness of and recommending measures to continually improve morale in each facility.

  • Alignment of goals between facilities, stores and the Mid-Atlantic Regional Support (MARS) team.

  • Best utilize resources between the facilities as well as the stores.

  • Drive the regional vision to facility leadership, and keep facility goals aligned with regional goals.

  • Develop, maintain and ensure successful partnerships between the facilities and stores.

  • Ensure the Mid-Atlantic facilities are measured and compared against other vendors within the Mid-Atlantic Region, including providing excellent quality products and service.

  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of, and ensure compliance with relevant safety and sanitation regularity rules and standards.

  • Set/define clear expectations for all three facilities.

  • Maximize purchasing opportunities.

  • Drive all aspects of exceeding financial plan including the recognition and clear Regional understanding of any subsidies  within products or facilities

  • Must drive and balance all stakeholders and core values. 

  • Partner with the Regional President and Regional Vice Presidents to continue to grow, evolve and develop the Mid-Atlantic Region. 

  • Set and achieve the highest standards in retail execution. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:



  • 5 or more years of related experience leading warehouse operations or directly overseeing a production facility or equal experience.

  • A background in distribution transportation logistics.

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully develop and mentor leadership. 

  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant safety and sanitation regularity rules and standards including OSHA, COOL & HAACP.

  • (Internal Candidates) Must have the recommendation of Regional Leadership including your Regional President and Regional Vice President(s). 

  • Proven record of building, developing and maintaining strong teams.

  • Complete understanding of Whole Foods Markets standards and Core Values.

  • Proven record of strong financial performance and demonstrated financial acumen.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize. 

  • Successful track record in warehouse and production operations.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft applications

  • Detail oriented with excellent follow through and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and multi-task.

  • Proactive approach to problem solving.

  • Demonstrated success in setting and meeting or exceeding goals.

  • Ability to successfully analyze and respond to sales, purchase and customer trends.

  • Strong food knowledge preferred.

  • Willing and able to work flexible hours.

  • Able and willing to travel frequently both within and outside of the region.
