Description

We are searching for an experienced SQL Server Developer/Architect to help define and lead the enterprise architecture and database strategy of a fast-growing technology company.  This individual will join a cutting edge Microsoft shop where the development organization works on enterprise-scale data-driven applications that are complex, challenging, and evolving constantly to maximize the capabilities available through the Microsoft product suite.  This role will provide senior-level SQL Server expertise and leadership to the development organization and set the standard for database architecture across the company.


 


As a senior staff member the Architect must meet extremely rigorous technical standards for SQL Server development.  In addition he/she must be deeply experienced with enterprise-scale databases and architectures, have significant data modeling experience with ERwin, and be a polished communicator and team player who can mentor SQL developers and work effectively with a variety of technical teams.


 


Ideal candidates will have deep experience with the following:



  • SQL Server 2000/2005 development (2008 also desirable)

  • Expert-level T-SQL skills (extensive stored procedure, function and trigger development)

  • Extensive modeling experience with ERwin

  • Performance Tuning and Optimization

  • CLR Integration, Change Data Tracking, Replication

  • Enterprise grade, highly scalable and highly dynamic database environments


The successful candidate can expect a base salary between $125-135K, to be negotiated depending on experience and fit for the position. Our client offers a very competitive compensation package that includes major medical, vision and dental benefits; life insurance; tuition assistance; 401k with company matching contributions; and a great work environment with convenient Metro access.
